While updating my epix with samsung fix. it gets stuck at the point when it says “Create COM 13 succeed…” Any one eles have this problem? Please help my phone is down until i get this fixed.

This has been a common problem (including myself), although as far as I know the phone was still usuable even after this error (mine was).

Here is a list of things I've seen that hopefully will help:

1.  Make sure you are not using a usb hub, plug directly into your pc (also make sure it is a usb plug in the BACK of the computer.  If you have one in the front it is probably actually a hub).


2.  Make sure you remove both your sim card and storage card before you update.


3. Make sure you are using an official samsung usb cord.


4. If all else fails, try using a different computer.

I installed the update today, and after hours on the phone with Samsung we figured out to just swap USB ports and that will let it select a different COM port.  It took 4 tries for me but it finally found one it liked.
