i'm using 9.5 beta.
also, I just thought of another question. I used the number, pound, asterisk trick “*#12531*#”, etc (something on the lines of that) and disabled my 3g to prevent being charnged when I surf the web (since I only want to use wifi). and the question that comes with this is the following, on youtube the first time I went on it had said that I had to be careful so that I don't get charged more on my plan when streaming things on the net or just surfing in general. have any of you guys had that come up and do you think I would be charged for going on youtube via wifi and watch videos?

that warning comes from GOOGLE/YOUTUBE itself, it's servers detects that you're using a mobile webbrowser (which it is); so it's a “generic warning”.
as far as i've noticed, the EPIX favors WIFI before 3G or EDGE data connectivity. when you turn it on, it switches all internet streams over from/to/through the WIFI connection – but if the signal gets too weak/looses it, it falls back to EDGE/3G.
So, if you're using youtube via WIFI, it will cost you nothing (except maybe you're using a pay-per-use subscription WIFI system as some open-wifi points/providers require it but not if it's your WIFI router).

ah, thanks a lot that clears up a bit of things. I read up on the att forums and found that whenever the epix is set to standby, wifi settings are automatically shut off. and seeing as how I don't have a data plan, I followed a method there to cancle media net edge as well, as seen here
1) Start | Settings | Connections | Wi-Fi | Network Adapters. Make sure that the SyChip Jaguar WLAN GSPI card is set to connect to Work (default setting I think)
2) Start | Settings | Connections | Connectoins | Advanced | Select Networks. Set the top and bottom drop down menues to Work. This will force all data connections to use the Work Connection and WiFi if it is turned on.
what do you guys think about that? and also, is there a for sure way to blog edge as there was 3g?

unfortunately thats true – the Epix does cut off the WIFI when it goes into sleep mode – seems that WIFI is not an “essential core function”, wish i could elevate that, sucks when you're doing stuff via live-stream through WIFI and you put the Epix aside, and it killed the line cos you took to long to get back to it
