Does anyone else think that the Samsung Epix's touchscreen is under-sensitive? I seem to have to pretty things multiple times and in applications that allow touch-scrolling its a chore to get it to work.I seem to have press alot harder than I think i'd have to.

Playing around with a iPhone or a T-Mobile G1, the touchscreens just feel WAY more responsive and just seem to work way better — I had no problems using them.

I bought FTouchSL and its OK, but when i scroll through messages/e-mails every 10th scroll/flick i'll accidently open an e-mail.

Maybe The Epix has a option somewhere?

Check youtube or maybe google,

might be able to get some help there,

I would like to figure it out as well. :)

Jack — I've been keeping a close eye on Google for Epix related hacks/mods/tweaks/tips/etc. and havent seen anything for this. I also poked around the registry and didn't see anything that caught my eye. :(

Does anyone else feel like the touchscreen should be more responsive, or am I just crazy?

hhmm, also I'd say its responsiveness is (on my Epix) somewhat better than what is usual for PocketPCs (me comming from a long history as PPC use, beginning w. the CASIO CASSIOPEIA http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casio_Cassiopeia#Cassiopeia_A-20 back in the day when they operated on two AA batteries ;-) )

i noticed though that you have to be EXTREMELY accurate when aligning the stylus accuracy, since the “DPI sensitivity” of the touch-screen is rather high.

I also noted that it response better to a “harder tip surface” than a whole thumb, and trying to aim with the fingernails is rather a pain in the ass, considering the level of accuracy and its rather tiny screen. I usually have one of those http://store.greenpearle.com/xp6-cell.html – a 4-in-1 pen thats a ballpen, stylus, LED flashlight and laserpointer. Works miracles on the Epix and all my past PocketPCs

I daresay that the Epix plays a lot better along with people who are used to PocketPCs & styli (plural of stylus?), than “iphone-style thumbing across the screen”-folks, as the Epix isnt just a regular off-the-mill smartphone, more rather a PocketPC w. cellphone functions. Nothing against the iphone people per sey, this is a free country, but when i read on wikipedia and the technews how they artificially shortchange the ihpone – i just feel sorry for them :-D

cheers
