I’ve seen programs that perform a Alt-Tab type function, but I’ve never been able to get one to work well. Does anyone know of anything?
vinneme, have you tried googling “Alt-tab pocketpc” ?

I too would like to have some sort of taskbar-like program for the Epix. On my old WM5 Treo, a tiny program called vBar put a drop-down menu on the title bar from which you could switch to a running program, or stop that program running. On Epix, I've tried many (vBar, pBar, tMan, CeleTask, wkTask) and they're all clumsy, slow, or buggy. Anyone using a good one?

Shortly after I wrote my Feb 28 post, I went back to the freeware program “pBar” (from http://www.freewarepocketpc.net) and decided that it wasn't too bad after all. Could be better, and just buggy enough that I periodically shut it down. But having declared all that, the program is still very useful at times, so I do recommend it. It makes it easy to switch between programs running simultaneously (“minimized”) and also to end programs that you don't need running. Take these two bits of advice, and then I say try it:
1. I vaguely recall that one of my difficulties was caused by the installer program and the program itself both being named “pbar.exe” so take care of where you install it to. (and maybe I remember wrong, it could have been a .cab)
2. Memorize the keystrokes needed to end the pBar program. About once a month the font mysteriously changes to something unreadable, but stopping and restarting it works fine if you know this.

I use HTC x-button. I don't think it has as many features as pBar, but I've never had a problem with it and it does everything I need it to do.
