I have an issue with my Epix that recurs every couple of days. The phone just shuts off. Before I put the phone in my pocket I lock it and then turn the screen off with a single push of the power button. Sometimes when I take the phone out of my pocket it looks to be off. No blinking light on the top-right, and I'm unable to start the phone with a multi-second press of the power button. The only way to bring the phone back to life is to open the battery compartment, remove/reinsert the battery. Is anyone else having an issue like this, or is this perhaps the “lockup when in sleep mode” issue I've been reading about in this forum?
My Epix does has done the same thing 3 times in the week that I've had it, been contemplating takeing it back ot att or chunckin it in the air and taking potshots at it with my 12 ga. with my accuracy it'd be safe tho . Anybody come uo with a way to fix this?

I'd imagine its the lockup feature that we all ran into initially. I haven't had a single problem with the phone except when i mess it up myself. Question though does anyone know how to keep the phone from going into “sleep mode” while using it. When i'm using GPS or trying to text after a minute or so if i haven't touched the phone it will go into “sleep mode” then I have to input my password to unlock it, etc…….
I have this too– I do not have my phone password-enabled but sometimes when it goes to sleep or I push the power button to make it sleep, it just shuts OFF. This happens quite often after I get 2-3 text messages or send one.
Does ANYONE know how to fix this? I'm getting tired of removing the battery and restarting every time. Thank you.

No one has described the My Documents sync problems. It is empty and useless. I just started a new thread for this, so if someone has a fix. I think I read something about mapping the my docs to the storage card and that might fix it. Is that true?

The ascending ring issue can be partially solved by a registry edit. I am going by memory here but if you search at xda-developers website you will find the details.
HKCU\Control Panel\Sounds\RingTone0
You will find a field called “script” ( I think). It will be set to something like apw2r
Which stands for
a – activate
p – play ringtone
w2 – wait 2 seconds
r – repeat
I changed mined to ac100pw2r
c100 says to change the ring volume to 100% of the volume.
Keep in mind I said that this was a partial fix. The first ring is still soft but then it goes immediately to full volume. Not perfect but better than before.
How do you edit registry on the Epix? I am a newbie on WinMo

I am having a number of issues with my phone.
- It locks in sleep mode.
- says I have one more unread email than I actually have
- goes a little spastic occasionally and calls random people in my contacts
- worst one of all, the touch screen stopped working. So I thought I would do a hard reset and I cant get out of the set up “touch screen” cause the touch still doesn't work!
Please help!!
