I’m still trying to install this update. Eboot and PDA download and writing proceed fine. Only at step 4 do things hang. I see the message Downloading phone …

ChangeUSB ok

The message in the blue status bar changes to Create Com 10 succeeded

And then I wait. and wait .. upto 15 minutes with no change.

Redoing the process with a different USB port nets the same result — PDA update completes but hangs on the phone update portion. I’ve used multiple USB ports with similar results. Drivers have been uninstalled and reinstalled and are of the recommended release.

I dont know what to do Is there anybody with complete detail on how to get this working, I guess there are some people going through the same problem On the Samsung fourms If ANYBODY KNOWS A WAY!! please post your comments, I have one half phone ID1 the other OEM………… and things are really sluggish!!!!

I have had a similar issue….  The update froze during, so I shut it down.  Now the phone has the current version, however the pda does not.  I am also unable to get the update to restart. I either get an error with the updater or I get this error in the screen:

PDA Device Found Faile.. close device
timeout–
PDA Device Found Faile.. close device
timeout–
PDA Device Found Faile.. close device
timeout–
PDA Device Found Faile.. close device
timeout–
PDA Device Found Faile.. close device
PDA Device not found.

I called Samsung and they said to send it back to them, but I would rather fix it myself.

Anyone know how??

I am doing everything the way I am supposed to.  I guess I will try and do it on my laptop and not use my desktop next time.
