I downloaded an MP3 to my storage card and set it as my ring tone. Now whenever I get a call it escalates the volume which is very annoying. I tried to edit the volume settings per the main page here but the problem doesn't get resolved.
When I go to “play” the ringtone settings -> sounds and notifications -> notifications tab, it plays the file fine.
Any ideas here?

I should point out I do NOT have the escalating option set, and the problem occurs both “Ring” as the option as well as “Ring + Vibrate”

I think someone discussed how samsung made something how the volume would escalate so it doesnt hurt anyones ear. haha so unless you can get old people to stop suing samsung over ear problems it wont be able to get solved…. to the best of my knowledge.

longdongsilver,
This is a known “issue” with the Epix … Its been widely discussed on all sorts of forums (HoFo, XDA, AT&T's, etc) but no one has found a fix.
