My phone won't turn on or charge, anyone else experienced this? any suggestions?

This happened to me once. I tried everything (I thought), including hard reset, which still did nothing (as in, wouldn't turn on even for hard reset key combination). It had happened soon after getting the Slog Dump message.
Finally, after having given up, I plugged it into my car charger, and it turned on. For some reason, my USB cable wouldn't cut it. Try that (or the wall power plug), if you've only been trying with USB.

Same thing with me three times now in a couple weeks, Wall Plug usually does it. Today I had to pop the battery out though.

I either have to plug into the wall, or do a battery pull. Also happened to me about 3 times in the past week or so. I've almost considered sending it back, but I've done got to love this phone.

I've had about 3 such freeze-ups, only a battery pull fixed it. I have a hunch that it's related to Skyfire, since it never happened before I installed that, and each time happened with Skyfire running.

I keep thinking of returning it too, but love the features it has when it works. Wish they'd just do a ROM update or recall/replace them.

This has happened to me at least 5 times in the 5 days I've had the phone. 3 of those times it has been plugged in to the wall charger. Only a battery pull would allow me to turn the phone back on. Iusually depend of my phone alarm to wake me up and allow me to get to the hospital where I work on time. So if I am unable to find a way to fix this problem I'm afraid I'm going to have to return this phone even though I love everything else about it. Anyone have any suggestions?

The slog dump error is the result of a bug in the firmware that Samsung has yet to address. There's a lengthy thread on AT&T forums regarding it.

I had similar problem before, but after calling AT&T warranty and complained, they sent me another Epix for replacement and it has been working flawlessly for the past three months. I have never seen the 'slog dump error' before, even on the one I returned. And yes, I have lots of program and hacks installed.
