My screen stays lit all night as I sync with cable to my PC.  I plug it in each night to charge but the screen light never shuts off.  Any ideas?

If you're using the USB connection for charging your Epix, and you don't need it to sync, you can set it to 'Modem' in Settings > Connections > USB Connection Mode.

My screen stays off in that mode, and it charges (unlike mass storage mode)
