Screen comes on with Bluetooth

I have Bluetooth in my vehicle and everytime I turn on my car it links the Bluetooth and makes the screen come on.  Usually I have it in a case, so various buttons get pushed…not to mention more battery usage.  Is there a way to stop the screen from coming on?  It does it when I turn off the ignition too.  Kind of annoying to have to turn it off everytime.


I've seen a couple posts various places on Bluetooth Delay on connect too.   Usually it is like it takes 20-30sec to connect fully (I dial and it will dial and connect, but I can't hear anything yet and have to redial).  Used to think it was the first time connecting after reboot, then maybe first time after power on, then first time of the day, but it does it so random that nothing really matches why.  I just end up redialing once-twice a day.  Anyone else seeing this or found a trick to make it connect better?

I have bluetooth in my car also and noticed the screen comes on when it connects/disconnects. I'd love to know how to disable this “feature.” I have a password lock on my phone, so I don't usually have to worry about buttons being pressed, but it's still dumb to have to keep an eye out in case I just used the phone and need to lock the screen back. I've looked around in all the settings but haven't found anything yet. I haven't tried looking through the Registry yet, guess that'll be my next try. Hopefully someone can find an answer to this, because it's a little annoying.
