Hard Reset Question

I am wanting to do a hard reset on my epix, but I had a couple questions before I do.


I understand that a hard reset will return the phone to the way it was when I bought it, but I am wondering if it has any effect on the sd card or the sim.  I am wanting to clear the sd card as well, but I want to make sure that nothing happens to the sim.

Take the Sim card out if you're worried.  The phone will still turn on, give you an error about no sim card, refuse to connect to any network, and then happily continue to boot Windows Mobile.
