Theres a way to save even more power w. the epix' screen. When it's screen-locked, the brightness level is even below the user-mode “POWER SAVE” (lowest). Which especially useful when you have switched USB-port mode to MASS STORAGE and leave it that way, since turning the EPIX to “Sleep” mode via quick-push on the Power-button, forces a disconnect onthe USB port's data-connection. High Brightness levels drain the battery faster than the 500 mAh power-current of USB-ports can provide for recharge/sustainance.
the OK button to the right of the finger-mouse-pad is actually the “go-back to former applications” button, as some folks know it from the BJ1/BJ2.
The PROXYMANAGER in SETTINGS – CONNECTIONS allows to bypass the AT&T proxy by check-marking the “Do Not Use Proxy Server”. But the proxy-server IS REQUIRED when you browse AT&T's Media-NET intranet or want to see details about your own account status-quo like remaining minutes or pay your bills through it.

Atlanta,
The OK button (found immediately to the right of the optical mouse) is great! It will trigger the “X” or “OK” that can be found in the upper right corner of the screen. This can often act as a “Back” button as it closes out the current screen's window, but note, unlike the “Back” button, the “OK” can save settings on the screen you're at (Where as the “Back” button merely took you to the previous screen/application and didn't save anything).
The OK button is EXTREMELY helpful for one-handed use of the Epix though.

AEButton+ has the ability to reassign the OK button as a “Back Button”.

Actually David!
Current list of built-in keypress actions
But I read that many of these are not going to be supported by our Epix.

i also found out that a quick-press on the red “hang-up” button shortcuts you to the TODAY front-screen.
What i LOVE on the Epix compared to most other smartphones out there, that the cellular feature is sort of like a by-product, you can continue working on the Epix in Word, watching videos or whatever you want to do, even Remote Desktop'ing while on the phone – providing you're in a 3G network coverage since EDGE supports either voice-streaming or data-streaming.
I also noticed that the Epix favorably used WIFI for internet connectivity instead of cellular data-connection, regardless if you turn it on in the middle of a webbrowsing or other online activity. Matter of fact it uses the cellular data-connection sort of a “fall back” if no other are present, like WIFI, USB/activeSync or bluetooth.

Sorry to bump, but did anyone figure out about what to do with the “GO BACK/ RETURN” button?
That was arguably my greatest button to use on my Blackjack.
I was pretty efficient in using the return button on my Blackjack i607, and it was very handy to use. There doesn't seem to be one when I went to go play with the Epix at the At&t store. The return button was great when playing music from the storage card, because it takes longer to go through the media player library to find a song, instead of just playing the current song then hitting return to go back to the folder in the explorer mode and find the next song you want to play.
I've heard the OK button is close, but isn't the exact same thing as it. Any solutions?
