Hello,
I have been searching high and low ever since I got the Samsung Epix for a small and simple application that engages the (otherwise manual) lock for screen and keys after a designated amount of time. I am new to WM, so I don't know the good applications for it yet, the applications I have downloaded so far just don't work, or only work on the screen/keys.
Does anyone know of a small and simple application that automatically locks BOTH the screen and the keys on the Epix?
Thanks!

i use slide to unlock.
i think a lot of people here do.
it's slated as a “make your winmo phone more like an iphone” kind of app, but i like it because it makes the locking/unlocking process a lot less complicated. when it's active, the screen and keys are locked, except for the touch slider at the bottom of your screen which unlocks everything.
you can check it out here: http://s2u2.eqvipage.dk/S2U2-index.html
hope this helps.

I've heard that S2U2 version 1.33 is supposed to be fairly stable on the Epix… The newest version (1.37 I believe) may be stable on the Epix too..

I had read that 1.35 and 1.36 had some problems, so I've been running v1.33. Seems to be working fine on my Epix. I did replace the wallpaper with one sized to ft the screen. Didn't' realize 1.37 was already out.

I tried S2UL 1.37, and it works great!
I didn't know it had an automatic lock feature. I changed the background to a Windows Mobile 6.1 background, to take away from the apple-ness of it.
Thanks everyone!

Actually, I realized that S2U2 unlocks the phone when you get a new text message notification… I uninstalled the application, which took a while since I had to manually delete everything since it wasn't on the uninstall list.
I found a program called DeviceLock 1.2, which locks the phone when it goes into sleep mode. Not optimal, but its better than the phone going off in my pocket when I recieve a text I can't answer.

i'm currently running 1.37
it doesn't unlock when i receive an email or text
it will give me a notification i can act on if it isn't in sleep mode, and if it is in sleep mode, it wakes up to the slide to unlock screen.

hm, i just hold the red Phone Lock/End Call button for more than 2 secs w. my thumb, and then a quick push on the power-button w. my index-finger to force the sleep mode.
kind of became an automatic instinct for me
cheers
