Anyone play with the key mapping in hklm\software\microsoft\shell\keys yet? Kind of sucks that of the 4 special keys only two of them have hold options. I have a tool that tells me the key messages sent too and they do in fact send the same key when held that it does when pushed and the other two send different key messages. All the keys under this in the registry are like 40C1 where they start with 40, but according to my other tool they really send just the C1, etc. So, that part is a little confusing.
I did find out that the Silent button sends a 5E when pressed once that isn't used, so I tried making a 5E and 405E key under the registry entry above, but it didn't seem to work. It is hard grabbing the volume keys, but I think the Vol Down sends 7C. I'm wondering if we can make entries here to map those to scroll without the other key application that is in the App section here. Does anyone have it loaded perhaps to see if maybe it in fact uses this registry key? Default under this key is 6 values for the 4 buttons and 2 that have Hold abilities.
