Can you change the ringtone for incoming text?

Yeah I did. its under settings then sounds and notifactions. then you go to incoming text message. oh yeah you need to put whatever tone you want into the sounds folder. I got santa saying hohoho.

Thanx!!, Man i need to get used to this phone… i had all the blackjacks.. technology is so crazy yo.. but another question.. how do you put it in the sounds folder? b'cuz when i downloaded the sms ringtone its only on my incoming call list.. i cant figure out, how to put it in my incoming text list…Any ideas??

its kinda complicated but you go to my stuff and cut the sms tone or ringtone and then go to my device>application data>sounds. and there you go if you put all your ringtones in there you can easilt choose what you want without having to go to my stuff all the time to change a ringtone.

I followed your exact steps, but when i go to sounds its saying “folder is empty”…???…???

I found that I had to close the settings tab and then go back into it. Then the ringtones I moved into the songs folder were there. Hope this helps.
