lo and behond fellow users,
verizon seems to be releasing the “Epix” for its own network – it seem to be labeled “Samsung Saga” – it seems to be able to use the verizon propietary CDMA networkbut also the gobally used GSM/GPRS network. specs details here http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1323
it seems it's essentially the same phone, just w. minorly rearranged touch-pad and surrounding buttons. Looks to me that SAMSUNG made a good design here if several cellular providers are jumping on the “Epix”
cheers

looks interesting … thought im not a fan of the blue color. I must stay, if that silver/chrome ring around the optical mouse is a click-based D-pad, then im mighty jealous .. the swipe-based D-pad of the Epix isnt nearly as good as click-based D-pads IMO.

no, it's just for “looks”, casing design. i find the OK and the Win-buttons rather too small IMHO.
But it tells me that the core-specs HW design is rather well recieved by the people. You dont see it very often that two or more cellular-providers get the same device.

actually, i got a hold of one of these at my local verizon store, and believe it or not the keyboard is actually smaller than the epix. it is a completley different design, but it is just a epix copycat.
