mohshaker,
This is a known issue — Samsung forces the increasing ring on the Epix, so far there are no known fixes for this. Im suspected Samsung wont release a patch because they intentially added this functionality as a safety precaution (they dont want people to have the phone near their ear and have it go off).

Thanks David ,
do you know of any links or Samsung posting regarding this issue and any update from Samsung regarding this problem ?
i have been using the EPIX for 2 weeks now and i can say this is the best PDA phone in the market, i bought it from EBAY “no contract and unlocked” with all cash backs and EBAY discounts for 200 USD. For this price this phone is SUPER, i tried the HTC product FUZE and the black berry BOLD, none of them comes even close to the EPIX. The only PDA with keyboard, nice touch screen, WM 6.1… This phone was like a dream to me. I always wanted touch screen and keypad, as if Samsung was in my brain and knew exactly what I needed.
For a small problem like this on the EPIX, i can wait for the fix …… Hopefully one of the EPIX Guru's will come with a patch before Samsung.
Excellent forum and wonderful EPIX community, thanks for your reply.

moshaker,
No work from Samsung or AT&T yet about a patch to fix the notification issues. When they release something I'll defnitely make a big post about it.

We're not worthy!
Seriously, thanks tons Stephen, whoever you are. It works wonderfully. There's still something like a 4 second delay from the time it starts ringing on the caller's end, but I'm not sure that this isn't something caused by the network or Windows Mobile. I don't see the notification windows either for this period of time.
