I followed the instructions to install the restrected version of Garmin XT on my Blackjack II (as outlined on myblackjack2.com). I was wondering… how do I go about installing the same program on my new Epix?? FYI I uninstalled the application and deleted all of the files from my SD card (but I still have all the original program/app files from restrected).
Can I follow all of the exact same steps from the guide on mybj2?

I tried to follow the exact same steps that are on myblackjack2.com but was unsuccessful with the installation. Everything installed fine but upon running the program I continually got a spque.exe error or something like that (check the “Garmin Mobile XT” thread directly below this one as it is asking the same thing). I also used the restrected version
I am hoping for someone with Garmin Mobile XT installed to highlight how they got it working because as of yet I am unsuccessful

I got this to work. You need to download and install the latest garmin software on your device… 4.02 or whatever version originally posted by restrected on mybj2 wont work. Garmin is now running perfect on my Epix!
Also, you CANNOT use modaco's “no data” hack. The Epix uses an aGPS (ASSISTED GPS), and it connects to medianet in order to get a fix on your location. HOWEVER, EVEN THOUGH THE DEVICE CONNECTS TO MEDIANET, NO DATA IS TRANSFERRED! I have been using the GPS all week (including for a road trip to Vegas!), and AT&T verified that NO DATA has been transfered on my account. =)
