The Samsung Epix has a slightly odd resolution: 320 x 320. Most Windows Mobile phones have resolutions of 240 x 240 or 320 x 240.

I found this list of applications that work on a 320 x 320 display on WMExpert's Forums, though I had to grab it from the Google cache because the page appeared to be down:

Thanks skfny, Malatesta, Darth Pooh, b3tt3r, techgeek32, VaccPalm, posters in thread from WMexperts [ 800w - What Software / Mods will you use? ] and everyone else.

You guys can update list here as well. This is created by member Rex.

Long list i see here so i for obvious reasons I didn't read it all but I do know for sure that SPB Mobile shell and Backup both work very well.  Also Weather Panel, local live search (didn't have to change any settings), and google maps (worked as soon as i reset my phone without having to change any settings) all worked great.

working: Resco Picture Viewer

Not Working: Resco Picture Viewer

nice validity checks in that list :P

I happen to notice that, if the programmers program according to Microsofts GUI-API guidelines, it works just peachy. if the programmers try to bypass them for some odd hardware acceleration, it fails or messes up.

I run on mine some professonal medical databases from SkyScape, and that works just peachy too. I even daresay that the Epix is kind of made for those types of apps w. the faster CPU, integrated keyboard for search queries and WIFI/3G connectivity for medical alerts or instant updates.

How did you get 1-Calc to work?  I have the Light version, and it gets cut off on the bottom…

Crosswords 4.2 by Eric House is a good open source Scrabble clone, with configurable dictionaries.  I find it a lot more enjoyable than Scrobble, because it displays the entire board on the Epix's screen at once (scrolling around in Scrobble kills me), and the College English dictionary doesn't throw in as many 3 letter words you never heard of.

You can have up to four players, any number of them robots.  It displays perfectly on the 320×320 screen, without any hacks needed.
