I finally got around to installing the Invisible Shield for my Samsung Epix, and as expected it works great.
Those of you that have visited MyBlackjack2.com know that I am a big fan of the Invisible Shield and think its the best thing since sliced bread when it comes to protecting mobile devices. I’m not a fan of cases that add any extra bulk to my phone, so the Invisible Shield is the perfect solution.
The Invisible Shield is an incredible thin clear plastic film that you apply to the major surfaces of your Samsung Epix and it prevents your phone from getting scratched, its pretty amazing stuff. Because its clear and thin its almost invisible when applied to your phone. It has a very slight “grip” feeling which I thought might make touch-screen use difficult, but I was pleasantly suprised that it didn’t impact the usability of the touch-screen.
I got the Fullbody kit which is nice because it protects the back, but if your not too concerned about the back you can get the Screen kit for a couple bucks cheaper.
Please read over these instructions before installing the Invisible Shield.
- BE PATIENT! Expect a full body kit install will take around 30 mins, if not more. Rushing the install will result in disappointing results.
- Make sure your hands are clean as possible before performing the install.
- Make sure you are someplace with as little dust/hair/etc. as possible (away from animals, carpet that sheds, fuzzy sweaters, etc.)
- Find a lint-free cloth, and clean your smartphone prior to installing
- Make sure you are installing the InvisibleShield in a well lit area so you can see what you are doing
- If you run out of the fingerprint shield spray (which you definitely will if you get the full body kit) refill with water. Apply fingerprint shield spray liberally.
- Let the phone dry in a clean/lint-free environment for the full 24 hours.
- You will probably have a couple bubbles for the first week or so — don’t stress over trying to get them out, they’ll work their way out on their own.
I highly recommend the InvisibleShield for all your electronic gadgets (Other Smartphones, iPod, iPhones, etc.)

Do you have pictures of your Epix with the shield on? I wanted to see what was covered.

Good product. Actually Fantastic Product.
In a “rush” to cover my new phone I bought the universal invisible shield kit at Best Buy, almost gave up on it thinking the screen wouldn’t be as sensitive to touch as before, but when it dried it works fantastic; love it.
It’s covering my screen now and I have a hard case for the phone, but eventually I’ll get the full body kit.
Actually, it’s so good I’ve used my remaining sheets to cover my iPod screen and bottom case.
If you are as particular as I am about scratches on your devices and hate plastic cases because of the lint trap qualities, I highly recommend this invisible shield (plus buy via their website and you get the $$ back guarantee!)
As stated, take your time, keep lint out of the way, and it’s a winner!

This is a very well engineered product. I bought the full body kit, and it’s just that, FULL BODY. I think there are fourteen pieces to apply. Things to note:
• It does what it says it does, this stuff is nearly impenetrable.
• They’re instructions state that if you receive your kit and the bottle of application fluid is empty, just refill with water. Mine was empty, and the kit packaging was obviously water damaged.
• For the Epix, they supply covers for the Start Menu button, the optical Mouse, and the OK button. I applied them, but later removed them as the edges and texture made the mouse difficult to use.
• The phone is easier to hold on to, and slides around less on my truck’s armrest.
• After a few months the edges (especially in the corners) have started to come up. Not badly, but a little aesthetically displeasing. By the way, I carry my phone in my pocket.
I would recommend this product, for a new phone.

Okay, so I’ve had the Invisible Shield applied for a few months now. The material is amazingly unstratchable. The only problem is, corners tend to peel up, NOT on flat screen, but on the edges of the phone where the whole-body kit wraps around complex corners. Although I do like the back cover, I will probably only buy a screen cover for my next phone (if I ever give up my Epix
). I will definately buy their product again.
